Harmony through balance.

How we get that beautiful and pure connection with our horses?

Let’s go back to how the horses communicate with each other. How worn horses in the herd himselves? We know that the Flock is lead by a leading Mare and the Stallion who has the role of the driving force. These are two important roles in a herd. Horses are naturally prey animals. This means that they always be alert not to be attacked by a predator. This also means that the horse have to keep an eye on each other and have to stay together. If one come los from the herd than he is in danger and no longer safe for a predator. So it is very important that they listen to the leading Mare and driving Stallion. The Mare has the task to move the herd to a different location, this may be for danger, for a drink or new feeding ground. Because the energy of the leading Mare is strong and grounded, the herd will want to follow her. The driving Stallion’s goal is to actually move the herd and he must insure that they follow the Mare. In case of danger, this must happen very quickly. Here you see all that there is balance between the leading Mare and the driving Stallion. These two work closely together and have the task to the herd to keep them as safe as possible. This creates a natural balance and harmony.

How can we aply now on our horses?

We as humans will take the rol of the leading Mare and the driving Stallion on us, if we want to be in in harmony and balance with our horse. If we do this the horse take confidence on us and he feel secure with best rates guaranteed. So this means we are going to mimic the situation. We start as first to take the rol of the mare. We are going in the pasture or the picader with our horse in freedom (without gear) and we are going to focus on our selves so that we get in touch with our innerself and strenght. From here we may ask wether the horse to come to us and want us to follow. It’s important that you don’t ask or requier that he is coming but give him the choice! If you are good in connection with your self than the the horse will really like to want to be with you. If this succeeds and the horse comes and follows you as you walk away, you can repeat this a few more times. Let it sink into deep feeling. Do this with between breaks. This creates a deeper connection between you.

After that we will take the rol of the driving Stallion. We do this by horse take his place. We do this of course back in the meadow or picader without gear. So now we are going to focus on our selves again and than walk in straight towards our horse and make sure he slides for us so that we can literally take his place. It’s important that you know your horse and you are in your own power because otherwise it just can be that the horse does not slide for you. So be carefull if you do this, or get professional help if you are not sure.

If we put those two things together and this goes well and your horse is coming to you and you can send him away, then you have the balance and you can build a new connection from here. This compound will loving, respectful and understanding and you cooperation will grow further in harmony and balance. From here it is also much easier to solve situations together because there is confidence.
